Dental Residency, Implant Dentistry, Libyan

August 14, 2015

I am a 27-year-old man from the Middle East who very much wants to join your dental residency program in implant dentistry. I especially look forward to practicing and becoming part of dynamic research in implantology and oral surgery. I left my native Libya and came to the United States so that I might enhance my professional standing and build upon the skills that I learned as a dentist in Libya. While I love life in the United States, I feel compelled to return to Libya where I might be able to train other dentists and use the much needed skills and technological understandings that I will gain in your program.

The greatest contribution that I might be able to make to society would be to help the Libyan people to better understand the importance of preventive oral care. At the same time, since implant dentistry is very much a new field in my country, I look forward to becoming one of the pioneers dedicated to implementing, practicing, and enhancing this critical service for the Libyan people to the fullest extent of my capabilities. We are in desperate need of more oral surgeons in my country.

I am a compassionate and hard working young man who has done volunteer work with primary school students and scouts, checking their teeth, filling cavities. Etc. I have also treated orphans. I had also had the privilege of assisting several doctors with advanced degrees from the West in different aspects of Oral Surgery. I had the privilege, for example, of working closely with a doctor who had studied implant dentistry serving him as his assistant. I am polite, proactive, sincere, and a very quick learner. I thank you for considering my application.
